Office Building: Daylight & Glare Analysis — WELL + BREEAM

Freelance work for Light Bureau

Daylight assesment for this project investigated daylight compliance with WELL V1/V2 - L01 & L06, LEED IEQ Daylight, as well as BREEAM HEA01.

In addition, Daylight Glare assessment was also carried out understand the potential risk of glare due to daylight in the workspaces and areas where possible collaborations can take place like teapoints, lounges etc.

The assessment of daylight glare is inherently subjective, varying significantly among individuals based on personal sensitivity, age, task requirements, and adaptation levels. Viewing direction also plays a pivotal role in glare perception and assessment.

Daylight glare calculations are generally based on the Daylight Glare Probability (DGP) metric. DGP predicts the likelihood that an observer at a given view position and orientation will experience discomfort glare.
