Office Building: WELL & BREEAM

Freelance work for LAPD Lighting Consultants

The goal was to design and deliver the best in class office building to meet modern occupier’s needs and maximize the square location, capable of being let as a Headquarters or as a multi let asset. The building aimed for BREEAM very good and WELL Gold ratings. The daylight assessment investigated the compliance with WELL V1 - L01 & L06 as well as BREEAM HEA01. The analysis revealed that the design meets the requirements for WELL but not for BREEAM.

The analysis also revealed that apart from the spaces close to the facades, most of the other spaces will have relatively low daylight levels. Many spaces will require continuous electric lighting to reach the required light levels for workspaces.
